We received the sad news today that one of Australia’s great documentary makers Brian Beaton from Artemis films has unexpectedly passed away.
Brian was a tireless advocate for the industry and admired for his talent for making great television.
Brian was passionate about telling original and compelling Australian stories.
We were honoured for him to be a Screenrights Ambassador, something he embraced with such enthusiasm and commitment. Brian’s warmth and gentle humour is going to be missed.
Our thoughts are with his family, with Celia Tait and the Artemis team and his many friends in the industry.
