Screenrights has officially launched a new service for the screen industry: Collection Account Management. The CAM service complements Screenrights’ growing suite of services, which includes a Disbursements service, setting up and managing Disbursement Administration Service Agreements (DASAs) for Australian producers; and a Residuals service that takes care of royalty payments owing to performers in certain production scenarios.
“We’re excited to launch the new CAM service as an additional offering to help screen businesses concentrate their efforts on what they do best, which is making engaging screen content,” said Screenrights’ Head of Commercial and Industry Services Emma Madison. “We’re keen to use our expertise in data and payment management to work with producers and make this service investor-centric and producer-centric, to provide information that helps production companies make the best commercial decisions going forward.”
Making use of an external, trusted organisation to handle collection account management allows producers to keep difficult conversations at arms’ length, streamline investor reporting and keep relationships with investors forward-thinking. Screenrights is looking to work collaboratively with production companies to make the CAM service fit their specific needs, and is using customer-focused product methodologies in the constant improvement of the platform.
Screenrights (CAM) was officially launched at MIFF 37° South on Saturday 6 August.
