Public Affairs Advisor Virginia Gordon to depart Screenrights

Screenrights has today that confirmed the departure of long-standing Public Affairs Advisor Virginia Gordon.

Ms Gordon will finalise her consultancy work with Screenrights later this month.

Screenrights CEO James Dickinson said: “Virginia has made an invaluable contribution to Screenrights. She has worked closely with the Board and the Executive team for many years and we will greatly miss her sage advice. She is highly regarded by stakeholders and has been generous with her networks. We wish her well for the future.”

Ms Gordon said: “I have enjoyed a wonderful 21 years consulting to Screenrights, providing strategic advice, with a major focus on policy, government and stakeholder relations, as well as for a decade overseeing marketing. Screenrights has been successful in all its advocacy work during these years in an often challenging environment that encompassed media, broadcasting, technology, tax and copyright reforms and reviews. I particularly enjoyed working with the EnhanceTV team on the launch and development of the innovative service to the education sector.”

Ms Gordon will continue to work in the screen industry, technology and the arts.
