Express Resolution Process Independent Review

Screenrights introduced the Express Resolution Process (ERP) in November 2015 to assist members with the resolution of their competing claims. The Express Resolution Process has now helped many members resolve their claims:

It is important to Screenrights that the application of the Express Resolution Process (ERP) results in outcomes that are fair and balanced. We arranged for an independent expert in alternative dispute resolution procedures to review the first year of the ERP’s operations and identify areas for future improvements. The review was conducted by Mr Philip Argy.

Overall, Mr Argy determined that the Express Resolution Process is conceptually sound and also made recommendations to improve the process for the future.

Mr Argy’s recommendations and Screenrights response is available here.

We invite and welcome feedback on the recommendations, our response and proposed policy changes by 8 July 2017. If you would like to respond please click here, contact us at resolution@screenrights.org or phone +61 2 9904 0133 (from New Zealand: 0800 44 2348).

Your feedback will be put before the Screenrights board for consideration at the August board meeting.
