The Federal Government has announced the appointment of the Honourable Justice Andrew Greenwood as President of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia for a three year term.
Justice Greenwood has extensive expertise in copyright and intellectual property. He was appointed to the Federal Court in 2005 and has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the complex copyright issues that are often presented at the Copyright Tribunal.
The Copyright Tribunal is a specialist Commonwealth tribunal that principally hears disputes relating to the fixing of royalties and remuneration payable under licences for the use of copyright material.
Screenrights welcomes the appointment and joins the Government in thanking the Honourable Annabelle Bennett AO who resigns as President.
